Security:Public

Hi Guys

My name is Jennifer and I am a casting associate at MTV.  Right now we are casting for an upcoming episode of True Life.  For this episode, we are looking for people who are at odds with their parents for one reason or another.  Whether it is because of your major, relationships, or your lifestyle, MTV is interested in hearing your story.  I would also appreciate if you could pass it along to anyone else you may know.

You can email your situations to Parents@mtvnmix.com with their name, age, location, phone number, and recent photo.

Thanks, and feel free to message me with any questions
Jennifer

You can also view the full casting flyer at MTV.com at the True Life section

With the soaring gas prices, I was originally going to just drive there but I think it would be better to live in Orlando. I will be a freshman, pre-majoring in theatre.
I'm a guy and am looking for an apartment if anyone is looking for a roommate.

Did anyone go to the internship fun day thing?

From what I understood they were supposed to be approving applications and resumes on the spot and sending them out to employers.

When I got there there was one employer there—whom I felt really sorry for because she was all alone and didn't look like she'd talked to anyone for a while—and the people working the table for the internship office didn't seem to have any clue what was going on.

Was I just there at a bad time or what?

It seemed like most of the people were just there for the food.

Satin is a low maintenance indoor cat. She enjoys playing with a string, likes to sleep, chase lizards, and lay in the sunlight. She can be shy, but loves a good belly rub.

She has only had one owner and is up to date on all her vaccines. She comes with a litter box, food, treats, extra litter, various dishes, favorite string and blanket.

If you or someone you know is interested, please contact me.

Due to my new home I will be unable to keep her.

There is a room for rent in a shared apartment. The room is on the ground floor with shared kitchen and living room. You'd have three roommates on the second floor. The Gatherings is conveniently located on University and Dean - great for UCF, Full Sail, and Valencia students. Lease runs through June of 2008.

This particular apartment is available to male renters ASAP.

Subject:Awesome Computer for sale... $800 or best offer!
Security:Public

This is a Dell E510 with the following specs:

3ghz P4
1GB DDR RAM
ATI Radeon X600 256 MB Graphics Card
TV Tuner with two inputs
CDRW / DVD Drive
360 GB of HD space

The monitor is a 19 inch Viewsonic Graphics Series G90FB Flat CRT

It runs Windows Media Center 2002 and comes with a remote so that you can play live TV / record TV. From Wikipedia: "With the addition of TV tuner cards, Media Center can record and schedule TV shows in either over-the-air High-definition TV or standard antenna, cable, or satellite signal. After recording, it can then burn the shows to DVD or transfer them to a portable media player." YES, it is awesome!

Also included is a Dell Printer and an Epson 1670 Scanner (in addition to the keyboard, mouse, monitor, remote, and everything else you could possibly need.

I can bring it to your place or you can pick it up, whatever is best.

The computer works great and is incredibly fast. The only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I end up using my Macbook Pro way more.

The TV Tuner / Windows Media Center is especially nice, I used to use it with my Satellite dish as a DVR. It was hooked up to my big screen TV AND the monitor so I could work on stuff while watching the media functionality on the TV. Great for a dorm or small apartment.

I may even be able to add another gig or two of memory, I have several modules laying around, if they are the right ones I'll throw them in free.

$800 OBO - Make an offer!

Subject:Apartment for Rent
Security:Public

I am WANTING TO MOVE AWAY:
1 bedroom available for male or female to sublease in a 3/3 apartment shared with 2 females. The apartment is located in Auvers Villages, located mile or so from University/Semoran, and about 10 min. from campus. The lease is up in August, and you can renew if you would like. The original rent is $348 plus utilities, but I am willing to negotiate. You can move in as soon as you would like.

The complex is really pretty with nice landscaping and it is really quiet. I lived there for these reasons...no campus cops, no loud parties, no armed robberies. I am willing to leave my bed, desk, and other furniture in the room if you need to borrow if for a couple months. If not, I can gladly put it in storage.

My roommates are in their fourth years of school, and they are both responsible, fun students at UCF. I am graduatng and looking to spend the summer overseas before starting law school, so I am just looking to save someone some money and offer up some cheap rent. =)

Well, it seems that www.half.com has screwed me on a book once again, and thus I need help.

Does anyone by chance have "Screen writing: Step by Step" by Wendy J. Henson? I need it and would be willing to negotiate a price for it.

1) A Solutions manual for "Modeling, Functions, and Graphs" - Third Edition. (College Algebra book).
2) Computer Concepts (8th Edition)
3) Communication Works (8th Edition)

If anyone needs any of these, I will be willing to negotiate a price.

Subject:Care to share your computing on campus stories?
Security:Public

My name is Kaitlyn, and I'm working on a co-op placement at the University of Waterloo, mostly in the Arts Faculty Helpdesk, but also for the Information Systems and Technology department. IST is trying to keep up with students' computing needs here, and we'd like to know what you like and dislike about your school's approach.

Do you find your teachers' expectations exceed what the school can support when it comes to computing? Does your school have a required laptop program but doesn't support it? Or, do you love how well you can stay wired on your campus?

If you'd like to share your thoughts, please do so by filling out a 5-10 minute survey here:
http://arts.uwaterloo.ca/~kgholman/survey.html.

The results will only be identifiable by IP address, and it will not be used in the analysis. I will only link your school to your answers.

If you have any questions, you can email me at aco.helpdesk {at} gmail.com.

Thanks, and I hope you're having a great fall semester.
